Often called the ‘Gateway to the Heart of India’, Maharashtra is the third largest state and second most populous state than in the country. Owing to its proximity to the Western Ghats, it is blessed with a picturesque backdrop of the mountains on one side and has the beautiful Konkan coastal belt on the other. Maharashtra – is brimming with an array of colorful shrines; a remarkable collection of caves; golden beaches lined with swaying palm trees; historic hotspots with strong past connection; and oodles of emerald hill stations under the canopy of lush Western Ghats. With an incredible mash up of everything, there’s is no better place to go for a holiday in India than Maharashtra. The state is primarily known for its ancient Ellora and Ajanta caves, and pilgrim destinations.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE MUMBAI

Arrive Mumbai and our tour representative will pick you up from Airport and straight transfer to hotel. Check-in and overnight stay at a hotel.

DAY 2: MUMBAI

After breakfast at the hotel visit Gateway of India, Prince of wales, Dhobi Ghat, Victoria Terminus, Raja Bhai clock tower, Sidhivinayak Temple. Later transfer to hotel and rest for the day as evening is free for leisure. Overnight at Mumbai.

DAY 3: ELEPHANTA EXCURSION 

Morning after breakfast proceed for Elephanta caves excursions. Elephanta is island located 10km far from city. Elephanta consist of two groups of caves – one is Hindu caves and another is Buddhist caves. Enjoy interesting sculpture of these caves. Back to city by afternoon and rest of the day for leisure or shopping. Overnight stay at Mumbai.

DAY 4: MUMBAI DEPARTURE

Post breakfast in the morning you will be transferred to Airport or Railway Station for your onwards destination.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE NASHIK

You will be picked up from Pune Airport or Railway Station. Next, proceed to Nashik via Shirdi. In Shirdi, go for a spiritual darshan of Sai Baba. Next, proceed to Sinner Mineral Museum. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Nashik.

DAY 2: NASHIK

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Vani and have a Sapta Shrungi Mata Darshan. Return back to Nashik for overnight stay.

DAY 3: NASHIK

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Next, proceed to visit Grover Zampa winery, Soma winery and Sula Winery. Here you will experience vineyard tour and also get a chance to witness how wines are brewed and also taste some of the best wines. You can also shop for your favorite wine directly from the vineyard.  Return back to the hotel. Overnight stay will be in Nashik.

DAY 4: DEPARTURE

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel and depart to Pune. Drop at Pune Airport or Railway Station for your onwards journey.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE MUMBAI

On arrival our representative will receive you from airport and take you to a pre-booked hotel in Mumbai. The rest of the day is free. You can relax in the hotel or take up small tour around the hotel area. You can also enjoy the beaches in the city or take up souvenir shopping. Top items to buy are fashion accessories, leather products, clothing and others. If possible, try the street food of Mumbai. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 2: EXPLORE MUMBAI

Post breakfast at the hotel the day starts with sightseeing trip that covers almost all top tourist attractions in Mumbai. Top spots visited are Marine drive, St. John church, Chowpatty beach, Malabar hills, Gateway of India, Hutama Chowk, Flora fountain, Juhu beach and others. The trip ends by late afternoon and the rest of the day is free for leisure. Since the next day is tight with activities, we suggest people to take rest. If desired, you can enjoy Mumbai on your own. Overnight stay at a hotel in Mumbai.

DAY 3: AURANGABAD

After early breakfast, you will be transferred to Mumbai airport where you would board a flight to Aurangabad. Once you reach the destination, you will be transferred to a hotel. Freshen up in a hotel and later you will be taken on a trip to Daulatabad Fort, Aurangabad caves and others. The Daulatabad fort is a 2nd Century structure famous for temple and exploration. Aurangabad caves were used during 6th century and today, it is an important exploration spot. You will be taken back to the hotel by late evening. Overnight stay in Aurangabad hotel.

DAY 4: AURANGABAD – ELLORA CAVE EXCURSION

Morning after breakfast the day is completely dedicated to Ellora caves. You will be taken to the caves by morning. You are free to explore the 34 caves temples and other attractions inside the caves. It has the largest rock cut temple structures in the world. There are temples of Jainism, Hinduism and Buddhism. You will be taken back to the hotel by late evening for dinner and rest. Overnight at Aurangabad hotel.

DAY 5: AURANGABAD – AJANTA CAVE EXCURSION

Today morning after breakfast you will be taken on an early morning drive to Ajanta caves. Buddhist monks took residence inside the cave to protect themselves from heavy rain. They used primitive tools to build massive temples and statues during their stay. The monks built the structures during 1st and 2nd century AD. You will reach the Ajanta caves by early afternoon. After lunch, half-day exploration of Ajanta caves starts. You will be taken back to Aurangabad by late evening. Overnight stay at Aurangabad hotel.

DAY 6: DEPARTURE FROM MUMBAI

Early morning you can trip to Vihara caves of 5th century and a few other ancient caves of Aurangabad as time permits. After lunch, you will be taken to airport to catch a flight to Mumbai. From Mumbai airport, you can either catch your destination flight or check into a hotel in Mumbai and continue your vacation in the city that never sleeps.

DAY 1: ARRIVE MUMBAI

Upon your arrival at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, our tour representative will pick you up from Airport and straight transfer to hotel. Evening free for leisure on your own. Overnight stay at a hotel in Mumbai.

DAY 2: MUMBAI – GOA

Morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Airport for a flight to Goa, a favourite destination in India. Upon arrival you will be transferred to a hotel in Goa. Situated in the subtropical zone, Goa has a warm climate all year round, so it is abundant with beautiful beaches spreading for tens of miles, which led to its name of “Hawaii of India”. You will have the rest of the day free to walk around the beaches and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Overnight stay in Goa hotel.

DAY 3: GOA

Today we will explore Panjim, which is located in the northwest of Goa. There are a great many photo opportunities waiting for you. The streets, stores and bars reserve a rich Old Portuguese architecture feature. A walk through the lanes and the super houses of Panjim is like stepping back in time to an old small European town. It is worth mentioning that the Largo Da Igreja Church Square is a stunning example of the Portuguese Baroque architecture style. Also, built in the year 1541, the church of the Immaculate Conception is a must-see for any tourists. Along with the pleasant scenery and ambience, the local people are also very friendly and hospitable.  Overnight stay in Goa hotel.

DAY 4: GOA

Today we will take you to visit Goa at leisure. The recommended sightseeing spots in the morning include two most visited churches. Basilica of Born Jesus absolutely comes first, since this 16th century church still keeps the body of St. Francis Xavier. In the church of St. Francis of Assisi, we can find many beautiful paintings. In the afternoon, we may take a visit to the Old City of Goa, which was founded in the 16th century. The old city has many wonderful sights and churches waiting for your exploration. Among them, the ruins of St. Augustine’s tower never failed to draw visitors’ attentions. Overnight stay at Goa.

DAY 5: GOA LEISURE

The whole day is stored for you to relax on the beaches. We believe the golden sunshine, the soft beach sand and the swaying palms will leave you a good memory. Overnight stay at Goa hotel.

DAY 6: GOA SHOPPING.

You will have the whole day free at your own disposal. Enjoy shopping at Goa which offers amazing variety and price, Goa is a shopaholics dream in its true sense. Shopping in Goa is a mix of bargaining at the flea market, indulging into luxurious shopping at a plush mall, buying specialized fashion clothing and accessories from a designer boutique, scouting shops that sell eccentric beach wear and tees, or visiting book-stores that have everything from mythological to fiction. However, tourists in Goa have a keen interest towards hovering in mid-week flea markets or night bazaars that feature chirping voices, multifarious colors and where bargaining is on full. DAY 7: GOA – MUMBAI

Take the morning to have a one last glance of Goa on your own. You will board an afternoon flight back to Mumbai. Transfer to the hotel and check in. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city by yourself. Overnight stay in Mumbai hotel.

DAY 8: DEPARTURE FROM MUMBAI

This morning we will visit the Elephanta Cave Island for its cave temples and sculptures. Afterwards, we will move back to the city to explore the Dhobi Ghat, Crawford market, Marine drive and old mansions of Colaba area. Your relaxing journey now comes to the end. You will be transferred to the airport or railway station to board your onward flight or train in time.

Today the day is scheduled for sightseeing in Mumbai. The tour starts with a trip to Gateway of India for sightseeing. Later, you will be taken to Elephanta caves where you can find many ancient temples. The best attraction in the island is the 7th century Lord Shiva temple. If time permits, you will be again taken to Gateway of India for enjoying the monuments and photoshoot. You will be taken tomany sightseeing spots like Mumbai University, High court, Rajabai clock tower, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and others. By evening, you will be taken on a stroll along the Fashion Street where you can shop. The highlight of the trip is the drive past the Marine Drive. Later, you will be taken on an up-hill expenditure to Jain temple, which is located on Malabar Hill.Other attractions in the hill are hanging garden, Kamala Nehru Park and others. Overnight stay at a hotel.

DAY 3: DEPARTURE FROM MUMBAI

Post breakfast in the morning you will be transferred to Airport or Railway Station for your onwards destination.

Places Covered: Lonavala – Mahabaleshwar – Tapola – Pune

ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE LONAVALA

On your arrival you will be picked up from Pune/Mumbai. Later you will be transferred straight to Lonavala. On arrival check in to your hotel and go for local sightseeing. The places that you will be taken to are Duke’s Nose, Ghangad – Tailbaila, Koraigad, Karla Caves, Lion’s Point, and Celebrity Wax Museum. Overnight stay will be in Lonavala.

DAY 2: MAHABALESHWAR

Morning breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Mahabaleshwar. On arrival check in to your hotel and go for a detailed sightseeing of this wonderful destination. Visit Arthur’s Seat, Window Point, Tiger Spring, Echo Point, Hunter Point, Malcom Point, Old Mahabaleshwar, Castle Rock Point and Elphinstone Point. Overnight stay will be in Mahabaleshwar.

DAY 3: TAPOLA

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Next, proceed to Tapola, a great destination for water sports lovers. Return back to the hotel for an overnight stay. You can also stay at Tapola.

DAY 4: MAHABALESHWAR – PUNE

Morning breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Panchagani. Go for a local sightseeing tour of Panchagani and later on drive to Pune. Overnight stay will be in Pune.

DAY 5: DEPARTURE

Post breakfast in the morning complete check out formalities and straight transfer to airport to catch your flight to onwards destination.
