Why Uttarakhand?

If you love adventure, Uttarakhand offers some incredible trekking, mountain climbing, and white-water rafting opportunities. Skiing enthusiasts also have a lot to look forward to in Uttarakhand, with Auli being one of the top skiing destinations in India. Uttarakhand is home to the Char Dhams, the four most holy sites of pilgrimage revered by the Hindus – Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath.

Land of untouched natural beauty and spirituality, Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is the state in India one can easily fall in love with. Carved out from Uttar Pradesh, the state, formerly known as Uttaranchal. Uttarakhand is a popular pilgrimage site, as it is the originating spot of the Ganga and the Yamuna, two of the most sacred rivers for Hindus. The surreal landscape that comprises lofty Himalayas, glistening streams, eye-catching meadows, imposing glaciers and surreal lakes, all make Uttarakhand a coveted tourist destination in Indian Himalayas.

ITINERARY

DAY 01: DELHI – NAINITAL

Pick up from the nearest bus stop/railway station and transfer to Nainital approx. 8 hours journey. On arrival check into Nainital hotel. In the evening free for leisure/explore Mall road at your own. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 02: NAINITAL LOCAL SIGHTSEEING TOUR

After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing – Boating at Naini Lake, Lover’s point, Snow View Point, Naina Devi Temple, Bhimtal, Naukuchiatal, Sattal. Overnight stay in Nainital.

DAY 03: NAINITAL – HARIDWAR

After breakfast, check-out from at hotel. Later drive to Haridwar, on arrival check in to your hotel. Evening you will visit Shivananda Ashram, Geeta Ashram, temples- Chandi Devi temple (Chamundi Devi), Mansa Devi Temple by cable car. Also, witness Aarti of the Holy River Ganges at Har Ki Pauri. Overnight stay in Haridwar. 

DAY 04: HARIDWAR – MUSSOORIE

After breakfast, check-out from the Hotel. Transfers to Mussoorie, visiting Sahastradhara. Evening arrive in Mussoorie & check in at your hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Mussoorie.

DAY 05: MUSSOORIE

After breakfast, head for Mussoorie local sightseeing – Kempty waterfall, company garden, mall road, Gun Hill Point (Accessible with Cable Car too, on direct payment basis) Overnight stay in Mussoorie.

DAY 06: MUSSOORIE – DELHI

After breakfast, Check-out from the hotel. Transfers to Dehradun covering Malsi Deer Park to Dehradun Bus stop/ railway station. Head back to Delhi.

ITINERARY

DAY 01: DELHI TO HARIDWAR 

Pickup from the Delhi airport /railway station and straight transfer to Haridwar which is approx. 8 hours journey, check in to your hotel. Evening you will visit Shivananda Ashram, Geeta Ashram, temples- Chandi Devi temple (Chamundi Devi), Mansa Devi Temple by cable car. Also, witness Aarti of the Holy River Ganges at Har Ki Pauri.  Overnight stay in Haridwar. 

DAY 02: HARIDWAR TO MUSSOORIE

After breakfast check out to the hotel and depart for Rishikesh visiting Ram Jhoola and Laxman Jhoola. Next proceed to Dehradun visiting Sahastradhara. Dehradun to Mussoorie (40 Kms – 2 Hour) Proceed to Mussoorie visiting Sahastradhara. Evening arrive in Mussoorie & check in at your hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Mussoorie.

DAY 03: MUSSOORIE LOCAL SIGHTSEEING TOUR 

After breakfast proceed to visit famous Kempty fall is 15Kms approx. from Mussoorie. It is a popular tourist point in Mussoorie. Cloud Ends is 7Kms approx. from Mussoorie. It is the highest point of Mussoorie offering an awesome view to tourists. Camel’s Back Road is around 3Kms from Mussoorie. As the name suggests rocks are shaped like a hump of camel at the end of the road. Gun Hill Point is the second highest point in Mussoorie. It is also accessible by a cable car. It offers a complete view of Mussoorie. Lal Tibba (Red Hills) is located 6Kms from Mussoorie. It is famous among tourists to view sunset and sunrise. Also visit mall road. Back to the hotel. Overnight stay in Mussoorie.

DAY 04: MUSSOORIE TO CORBETT

After breakfast check out from the hotel then drive to Corbett National Park. The park was named after Jim Corbett, the legendary hunter-naturalist turned author and photographer who spent most years of his life in this area and helped set up this park. Check-in to your resort. Evening free for sightseeing covering Garjia temple and Corbett fall. Dinner and overnight stay in Corbett. Distance between Mussoorie to Corbett is 270 Kms & 8 Hours’ drive approx. 

DAY 05: CORBETT WITH SAFARI

Enjoy early morning Jim Corbett wildlife Jeep Safari. Jeep Safari to explore the wild nature enjoying the freshness of the unpolluted environment and watching wild animals and flora and fauna in their natural surroundings. Lunch at Resort / Hotel and free for leisure activity. Overnight stay at Corbett resort.

DAY 06: CORBETT TO KAUSANI

After leisurely breakfast, Proceed to Kausani, En-route you get Himalayan view experience on curvy roads. On arrival check in to Kausani resort/Hotel. Rest of the day free for independent activities. Overnight stay at Kausani Resort/hotel.

DAY 07: KAUSANI

The most important activity at Kausani view of sunrise. After breakfast, today you can visit Kausani Tea Estate, Baijnath Temple, and Anasakti Ashram. Back to hotel, an overnight stay.

DAY 08: KAUSANI – ALMORA – NAINITAL

After breakfast check out from hotel and later straight drive to Nainital via Almora. Enroute we proceed some local sightseeing like Chitai Temple, Golu Devta. Then straight drive to Nainital. On arrival check-in at hotel. In the evening free for leisure/explore Mall road at your own. An overnight stay.

DAY 09: NAINITAL LAKE TOUR 

After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing – Boating at Naini Lake, Lover’s point, Snow View Point, Naina Devi Temple, Bhimtal, Naukuchiatal, Sattal. Overnight stay in Nainital.

DAY 10: NAINITAL – DELHI

After Breakfast at the hotel check out and drive toward Delhi, on arrival transfer to Airport / Railway station/ Bus Stop to catch your pre booked Flight / Train/ Bus.

DAY 01: DELHI – NAINITAL

DAY 04: ALMORA – KAUSANI

After leisurely breakfast, Proceed to Kausani, En-route you get Himalayan view experience on curvy roads. On arrival check in to Kausani Resort/Hotel. You can visit Kausani Tea Estate, Baijnath Temple, and Anasakti Ashram. Rest of the day free for independent activities. Overnight stay at Kausani Resort/hotel.

DAY 05: KAUSANI – RANIKHET

The most important activity at Kausani view of sunrise. After breakfast, Check-out from at hotel. Later straight drive to Ranikhet. Enroute we visit Ranikhet golf course and Rama Temple. On arrival check-in at hotel. Evening you are free for leisure. An overnight stay at Ranikhet.

DAY 06: RANIKHET – CORBETT

After breakfast check out from Hotel and proceed to Corbett. On arrival in Corbett, check into the hotel. Evening you are free for leisure independent activity on your own. Overnight stay at Corbett Resort.

DAY 07: CORBETT WITH SAFARI

Enjoy early morning Jim Corbett wildlife Jeep Safari. ITINERARY

DAY 1: DELHI – DEHRADUN – MUSSOORIE

Transfer from Delhi to Dehradun by train. Arrival at Dehradun will be in the afternoon. On arrival, our tour representative will meet you. You will reach Mussoorie by road, where you will check into a hotel and relax for some time. In the evening, exploring Mall road would be a relaxing venture. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your hotel.

DAY 2: MUSSOORIE – PANTWARI – NAG TIBBA

The drive to Pantwari will start in the morning, after breakfast. From Pantwari, the trek towards Nag Tibba will start. Upon arrival at Nag Tibba, camp should be set up for overnight stay.

DAY 3: NAG TIBBA

Morning the 3 kilometer trek to Nag Tibba Peak will start after breakfast, Enjoy your trek to the peak and get the amazing view of nature. Lunch will be packed already. In the late afternoon, trek back from Nag Tibba will begin back to your camp for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: NAG TIBBA – DEVALSARI

Today morning after having breakfast we trek down to Devalsari Village which is 5-6 hours trekking down the hill. You will be having packed lunch on the way. Arrive Devalsari where your camp will be set up for dinner and overnight in camp.

DAY 5: DEVALSARI – THATYUR – DEHRADUN – DELHI

Post breakfast in the morning get ready as we trek 8 kilometers to reach the village of Thatyur. The vehicle will pick you and drive to Dehradun. Upon arrival at Dehradun, you will be transferred to the railway station to catch the train for Delhi. Arrival at Delhi by evening hours and head to your hotel or airport to your onwards destination.

Places Covered: Mussoorie – Sankri – Taluka – Osla – Har Ki Dun

ITINERARY

DAY 1: DELHI – DEHRADUN – MUSSOORIE

Transfer from Delhi to Dehradun by train. Arrival at Dehradun will be in the afternoon. On arrival, our tour representative will meet you. You will reach Mussoorie by road, where you will check into a hotel and relax for some time. In the evening, exploring Mall road would be a relaxing venture. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your hotel.

DAY 2: MUSSOORIE – SANKRI

After breakfast, on the second day, you will drive to Sankri, which is starting point of our trek. On a journey to Sankri, you will pass through attractions like Kempty Falls, Purola and Mori. Before embarking on the trek, ensure that you have enough of bottled drinking water and energy bars to keep you going. After your arrival in the vicinity, you will check in a hotel or tourist rest house.

DAY 3: SANKRI – TALUKA

The day will start with healthy breakfast and then go for a drive to Taluka, which is 4-5 hours away from Sankri. During the drive, one can witness the magical beauty of the surroundings and also enjoy the stunning views of the towering mountains and dense forest. You will be transferred to a hotel, once you will arrive at Taluka. Taluka has guest houses and a few shack shops providing daily provisions to the local inhabitants. Overnight in tourist rest house/tent.

DAY 4: TALUKA – OSLA

Wake up in the morning, enjoy the breakfast and start your trekking expedition to the Osla Village, a tiny hamlet on one side of the Rupin River. Initially, the trail descends, further it will lead to left side of the valley, which later adjoins the Rupin River. After trekking for few kilometers, tourists will see the dense forest of Chestnut, Walnut and Willows trees. Further, the trail will take you to the Gangar village, and after crossing streams and climbing, you will reach a point from where they can enjoy the panoramic view of Oslo village. Next stopover point will be Seema Village, a small town on the opposite side of Osla village, separated by the swift river. Overnight in tourist rest house/tent.

DAY 5: OSLA – HAR – KI DUN

The trekking trail to Har – Ki Dun from Oslo starts from the left side of the valley and further passes through the fields, followed by a bridge that crosses the Rupin River. Next stopover point is Kalkatti Dhar, from where one can enjoy the view of Har Ki Dun valley. Look out for Kalang (black peak) and Bandarpoonch ranges when you are close to Kalkatti Dhar. From Kalkatti Dhar, there is an uphill climb to Har KI Dun valley. After about 6 to 7 hours, finally arrive at Har Ki Dun valley. Overnight stay in Har Ki Dun valley.

DAY 6: HAR KI DUN

The sixth day is meant for relaxing. After the healthy breakfast, you can explore the valley, capture some magnificent views on the camera, or just chill at the campsite. Also, you can see the rarely found Brahma Kamal flower around Morinda Lake, a beautiful alpine lake that can be covered with a short trek from the campsite. If you are still up for exercise and stiff climbing, you head northeast up the valley 4 km to the Jaundar glacier. This may require technical skills and it may be better to walk up just a couple of kilometers there and back. Overnight in Har Ki Dun campsite.

DAY 7: HAR KI DUN – OSLA

Morning after breakfast you will return back to Osla the same way. Overnight stay in Osla village tourist rest house/ tent.

DAY 8: OSLA – TALUKA

The eight-day is the second last day of the trek, covering a distance of 13 km through steeper terrains and stunning environs with sights of migratory birds disappearing in the snow-peaked mountains. Overnight stay at the guest house or hotel in Taluka.

DAY 9: TALUKA – SANKRI – DEHRADUN – DELHI

The trek for the last day is relaxing and fun walk through the forest and on manmade roads. This day is highlighted by a back drive to Dehradun. Following your arrival in Dehradun by evening, the adventure of the Har Ki Dun trekking comes to an end.
