Located in the northwestern part of India, Punjab means the land of five rivers. Known for its cuisine, culture and history and home of the glorious Golden Temple. The fertile land of farms and forts, Punjab has been aptly nicknamed the ‘Smiling Soul of India’ where you will always see smiles on the faces of the inhabitants who take pride in their religion and culture.

Punjab, the land of five rivers, is located in the northwestern part of India. The state is known for its vibrant culture, history, Sikh architecture and scrumptious cuisine. It is home to the popular historical destination, Jallianwala Bagh and the sacred pilgrimage site, Golden Temple and Wagah border which is famous for the ceremonial closing of gates and lowering of flags of India and Pakistan. Punjab is undoubtedly named the “Smiling Soul of India” as one will always see smiles on the face of the inhabitants who take pride in their religion, culture and their famous Punjabi lassi.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE AMRITSAR – ATTARI WAGAH BORDER

Arrive Amritsar and our tour representative will receive you at the airport/ railway station and transfer to your hotel. Late proceed to Attari Wagah Border (subject to operation) to experience the Indo-Pakistan parade and lowering of the flag ceremony. Return back to your hotel and evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Amritsar.

DAY 2: AMRITSAR

Morning after breakfast start your day by visiting the magnificent Durgiana temple, Jallianwala Bagh, and the divine Golden Temple (Harimandar Sahib). Later you can visit the Hall Bazar for shopping. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

DAY 3: DEPARTURE

Post breakfast in the morning check out and straight transfer to airport/ railway station for your onwards journey.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: AMRITSAR – DALHOUSIE

Arrive at Amritsar airport and our tour representative will receive you and proceed straight to Dalhousie which is approximately 5 hours journey. Arrive Dalhousie and evening is free for leisure or you can have a walk through small town of Dalhousie. Overnight stay at Dalhousie.

DAY 2: DALHOUSIE – KHAJJIAR – DALHOUSIE

Today morning after breakfast you will visit Khajjiar popularly known as “Mini Switzerland” of India, enjoy various sports activities like zorbing, horse riding and other activities at your own cost. Later we visit the Ajith Singh Smarak and Satadhara Sparkling Springs. Overnight stay at Dalhousie.

DAY 3: DALHOUSIE – DHARAMSHALA

Today after breakfast, proceed to Dharamshala which is approximately 4 hour’s journey from Dalhousie. Dharamshala – Set against the backdrop of the dramatic Dhauladhar Mountains, Dharamsala is perched on the high slopes in the upper reaches of Kangra Valley. Dharamsala overlooks the plains and is surrounded by dense pine trees and Deodar forests. A nearby snowline with numerous streams and cool healthy atmosphere makes the surroundings very attractive. On arrival check-in to hotel, evening free at leisure. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.

DAY 4: DHARAMSHALA

Today we visit Bhagsunag Temple and Dalai Lama Monastery, St. John’s church in the wilderness, Triund Peak. Later we visit the Dal Lake – known for its scenic beauty. Enjoy shopping at Mac Leodganj Bazaar in evening or you can relax in the evening. Overnight stay at Dharamshala.

DAY 5: DHARAMSHALA – AMRITSAR

Today early morning check-out of your hotel and proceed to Amritsar. The journey is about 4-5 hours from Dharamshala. Arrive Amritsar and check in to your hotel. Late afternoon proceed for Wagah Border to experience the Indo-Pakistan parade and lowering of the flag ceremony. Overnight stay at Amritsar.

DAY 6: AMRITSAR – GOLDEN TEMPLE, JALLIANWALA BAGH – DEPARTURE

Today morning visit Golden Temple, Durgiana temple, Jallianwala Bagh. After sightseeing proceed to Amritsar Airport to board flight/ train to your onwards destination.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: AMRITSAR

Arrive Amritsar the most important city in Punjab and check-in to the hotel. After refreshment the day is scheduled for sightseeing in Amritsar. Start your city tour with the blessing of Golden Temple. Later visit Jallianwala Bagh- the place that reminds every Indian of the brutal and heartless massacre by British general Dyer. Visit Durgiana Temple and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum. In the evening visit Wagah Border, Indo-Pak Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony-Wagah located at a distance of 30kms from Amritsar. Overnight stay in Amritsar.

DAY 2: AMRITSAR TO MANALI

Early morning after breakfast start your road trip to Manali. Travel distance of about 398kms approximately and taking 10 hour road journey. Travel via Anandpur Sahib, Bilaspur, Mandi and then Kullu to Manali. On arrival check-in and overnight stay at Manali.

DAY 3: MANALI

Get acclimatized to the weather and climate of Manali. After breakfast visit Hadimba Temple, Manu Rishi Temple, Tibetan Monastery, the Club House, Vashist Temple and hot water spring. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight in Manali.

DAY 4: MANALI (ROHTANG PASS)

Today we start off by heading to Nehru Kund and proceed to Solang Valley, popular for many adventure activities and ski slopes. Later we visit Kothi and Gulaba and straight proceed to Rohtang Pass (3978m) from which we will see some incredibly majestic views. Return and spend the night in Manali.

DAY 5: MANALI TO DELHI

After breakfast check-out and straight proceed to Kullu. Visit Kullu Shawl Factory and continue your journey to Manikaran. Enroute visit Kasol Valley with charming local villages and arrive Manikaran, farmed for the hot water springs which are found here. After a quick visit we transfer you overnight journey to Delhi.

DAY 6: DELHI

Arrive Delhi and check-in to your hotel. Later day is free for leisure or shopping in Delhi. Explore popular markets in Delhi, visit Khan Market which is a shopper’s paradise, Sarojini market is another popular market of Delhi situated in the South West of Delhi city. Sarojini market promises unbeatable prices for all the latest and trendy collections and items. Overnight stay at Delhi or transfer to airport for your onwards destination.
